The Patagonia Pass is a fixed-price, fixed-date camper rental block. Instead of booking by the day and paying variable rates, you pay one flat price for 28 full days — pick up your fully equipped Nomads L on the first day of your block, and return it exactly four weeks later. No day-by-day billing, no extensions to negotiate, no peak-season price spikes. We are the only operator in Chile offering pre-set 28-day blocks at a fixed price.
Because you commit early and we commit to you. By locking in your block months in advance, we can offer a significantly lower daily rate ($214/day vs. $250/day for a standard 28-day booking). That's a $1,000 saving on the Nomads L — plus you guarantee your camper before high season fills up.
Pay 50% today to lock your block. The remaining 50% is due at pick-up in Puerto Varas, Chile. Payment is processed in Chilean pesos (CLP) at the exchange rate of the day — the calculator above shows today's exact amount. A refundable security deposit of ~$1,500 USD equivalent in CLP is collected at delivery and returned within 48 hours after drop-off.
Yes. If you cancel more than 30 days before the pick-up date, 75% of the amount already paid will be refunded. If you cancel within 30 days of pick-up, no refund will be issued. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.
A valid driver's license is required. Minimum age is 25 years old. Manual transmission experience is required — the Nomads L is a manual diesel 4×4. Additional drivers must meet the same criteria. No off-road license is needed; the Carretera Austral is a gravel road, fully manageable with the Nomads L.
Our team is available 24/7 via WhatsApp for the entire 28 days — route recommendations, weather, mechanical questions, emergencies. We've driven every road on the Carretera Austral ourselves, so the advice is real. You are never alone out there.
Our main base is in Puerto Varas, Chile — the gateway to the Carretera Austral. Pick-up is between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on your block's start date. Drop-off is before 4:00 PM on the final day. Additional pick-up options in Puerto Montt Airport are available for an extra fee — ask us on WhatsApp.
